A very gentle hands-on approach, adapted to babies, children and teenagers, to support their growth and development.
Paediatric osteopathy applies the principles of osteopathy to the different stages of growth, from newborn to teenager. Using very gentle techniques adapted to the child's age, the osteopath assesses the mobility and balance of the child's body and works to release tensions that may affect their comfort and development.
The appointment begins with a conversation with the parents about the pregnancy, the birth, the child's development and current complaints. This is followed by observation of posture and movement and a delicate hands-on assessment. Treatment uses light touch and gentle movements, without pain, always respecting the child's pace and comfort. When needed, the osteopath will advise seeing another healthcare professional.
